Nobu / Tanzania
Serengeti, Seronera Central.
The endless plains, where the herds have always moved.
The Nobu perspective
Serengeti, Seronera Central,
at your pace.
Seronera sits at the Serengeti's central crossroads, where year-round water and varied plains support strong resident predator viewing. Its airstrip and central position make it a practical anchor for game drives before following seasonal movement north, west or south.
Granite kopjes, riverine trees and open grassland create productive habitat for lions, cheetahs, leopards and plains game even when migrating herds are elsewhere. Central access supports early and late drives across several neighbouring ecosystems.
Balloon flights and designated walking experiences can extend the day, subject to current permissions and conditions. Seronera works particularly well as a stable wildlife base within a broader migration route rather than a guaranteed herd location.

Start with your preferred month. Your designer will help match the season, chosen stays and connections to your route, interests and preferred pace.
late June–October
The long dry season
Late June–October is the long dry season, with thinner vegetation, concentrated water sources and generally strong game viewing across the Serengeti. Seronera retains resident wildlife, but migrating herd locations, predator encounters and every individual sighting remain natural events and are not guaranteed.
November to May
The green season
November to May brings greener plains, newborn animals, migrant birds and fewer vehicles in many areas. Central big cats remain present through the year, while rainfall and herd movement reshape daily plans; migration locations and all wildlife sightings are not guaranteed.

Good questions. Straight answers.
When is the best time to visit the Serengeti?
It depends what you want: January–February for the calving and big cats on the southern plains, July–October for the Mara River crossings in the north, and the dry season (late June–October) for the easiest all-round game viewing.
Where is the migration in the Serengeti right now?
The herds move in a year-round loop — south for the calving early in the year, north toward the Mara River by mid-year. We position your camp to match the herds' expected location for your dates.
How many days do you need in the Serengeti?
Three to five nights lets you settle into the right region without rushing; longer if you're chasing the crossings or combining regions.
Is the Serengeti the same as the Maasai Mara?
They're one ecosystem across the Tanzania–Kenya border: the Serengeti is the Tanzanian side, the Mara the Kenyan —
