THE EXPERIENCE / ACCESSIBLE JOURNEYS

Journeys designed
for every explorer.

Accessibility isn’t a separate brochure at Nobu. It’s designed into every journey, so mobility, age or pace never decide whether the wild is yours.

A STORY EVERYONE CAN LIVE

Designed in,
never bolted on.

Africa shouldn’t keep a list of who gets to feel it.

We don’t run a separate accessible tour off to one side. We start where we always do, with the kind of traveller you are, and treat your needs as part of the brief rather than an exception to it. For some that means step-free rooms and the right vehicle. For others it’s pace, diet, or travelling well with young children or older parents.

Please describe practical needs only in the planner, not medical records. We’ll talk through anything sensitive with you directly.

01 / AN HONEST CONVERSATION

What you need and what you hope for

02 / THE RIGHT CHOICES

Vehicles, stays and pace to match

03 / NO SURPRISES

A DAY, DESIGNED AROUND YOU

The same wild,
at your pace.

The plains look the same from every seat. What changes is how the day is built to meet you.

  1. MORNING

    An easy start.

A vehicle that’s comfortable to board, and a game drive timed to the wildlife rather than the clock.

  2. MIDDAY

    Time to rest.

Back at camp for lunch and a quiet afternoon, in a room chosen for how you move.

  3. EVENING

    Back out for the light.

A shorter drive as the heat fades, then dinner prepared around your dietary needs.

A JOURNEY THAT WORKS FOR YOU

Whoever you’re
travelling with.

Different needs call for different journeys. These are three of the ways we often begin.

01

One comfortable base.

Stay longer in one place, with fewer transfers and more time to settle in.

FEWER MOVES · MORE TIME
02

Every generation together.

Young children and older parents on the same journey, with a pace and route that keep everyone in the story.

MULTI-GENERATIONAL
03

Safari, then the coast.

Wildlife first, then slow days by the Indian Ocean, with stays chosen for easy access.

SAFARI & SEA

FIND YOUR SETTING

Places that reward
a slower pace.

We choose parks and stays we know can meet your needs, and tell you honestly where something can’t be made to work.

A GOOD PLACE TO BEGIN

Ideas to make
your own.

Three journeys to start from. We’ll shape any of them around your needs before anything is booked.

THE DETAILS MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

A little thought.
A better journey.

Tell us early, and we’ll plan the details before you travel.

Vehicles and transfers

We look at boarding, seating, space for equipment and how long each transfer takes.

Rooms and bathrooms

We ask each stay for the layout and facilities that matter to you.

Activities and distances

We check surfaces, walking distances and rest points, and find an alternative where needed.

Food and care

Dietary needs are planned with each camp well ahead of your arrival.

BEFORE YOU GO

Good questions.
Straight answers.

Can you arrange a wheelchair-accessible safari?

Yes, with careful planning. We look for step-free rooms, suitable vehicles and a comfortable pace, and we’re honest about what each place can and can’t do. East Africa has fewer ready-made options than Southern Africa, so the planning matters.

Is it a separate, more expensive tour?

No. Accessibility is designed into our standard journeys. If a particular vehicle or stay affects the price, your quote will say so clearly.

What if part of a journey isn’t accessible?

We’ll tell you honestly, design around it and find an alternative that’s just as worth doing.

What should I share in the planner?

Practical needs such as vehicle access, room setup, distances or diet. Please don’t send medical records; we’ll talk through anything sensitive with you directly.
