June to October and January to February are drier, with shorter grass, animals gathered near water and clear early views toward Mount Kenya. These periods generally support easy game drives, walking and riding on firmer ground.

The green season

November to December and March to May bring lush highland country, newborn animals and fewer visitors. Conditions remain comfortable at altitude, while the Lewa Safari Marathon occurs on its own annual schedule and requires separate current planning.
