Is Lake Baringo a freshwater or soda lake?

Baringo is freshwater, fed by rivers and drained by underground seepage. This sets it apart from the nearby alkaline soda lakes — Bogoria, Nakuru and Elementaita — and is why it supports hippo, crocodile and fish rather than the flamingo flocks of the soda shallows.

What is Lake Baringo best known for?
