The drier seasons

December to March is the classic hot, bright window, often bringing calm seas and clearer reef water. June to October is drier again and pleasantly cooler, although daily wind, tides and visibility still determine the best swimming and snorkelling times.

April and May

The long rains

April and May usually carry the heaviest long-rain showers and rougher water, while November's shorter rains are more broken. The rock pools follow daily tide tables rather than seasons, so useful low-water times should be checked for each stay.
