South of Diani, beach bars and busy strips give way to soft sand, coral outcrops and small coves. Msambweni's few villas offer a deliberately private base, often with their own pools, staff and shoreline.

The drier seasons

December to March usually brings the clearest, calmest weather for reef snorkelling and dhow travel. June to October is also largely dry, cooler and breezier, with the possibility of humpback whales offshore. Wildlife movement and sightings are not guaranteed.

April to May

The long rains

April to May carries the heaviest long rains and rougher seas, which can limit marine activities; November's shorter rains are generally more intermittent. Villa stays remain restful, but every boat plan should follow current forecasts and local advice.
