What makes Lake Bogoria different from Lake Nakuru and Lake Baringo?

Bogoria is a soda lake famous for both flamingos and its geysers and hot springs, plus greater kudu; Baringo just north is freshwater, known for boat trips, hippo and rich birding; Nakuru to the south is a fenced national park with flamingos and rhino. Each is its own experience — many travellers combine them.

Are there really geysers at Lake Bogoria?

Yes. The reserve protects an active geothermal field along its western shore, with geysers that jet and hot springs that boil year-round. It is one of the finest concentrations in Africa — and the water is scalding, so a guide is essential.

When can you see the flamingos at Lake Bogoria?
