A PLACE IN YOUR JOURNEY
Chameleon Hill Lodge overlooks Lake Mutanda with the Virunga mountains forming the distant backdrop. Brightly coloured buildings, individually styled rooms and private outdoor spaces give the property a distinctive lakeside character. Its location is outside the immediate Bwindi trailhead settlements, so the chosen trekking sector and transfer plan matter when building a stay.
The current accommodation ranges from the Oldtimer, a converted Volkswagen Kombi with its own bathroom, to Classic and Deluxe Chalets and two different two-bedroom villas.
A dining room and deck overlook the lake, with a lounge and bar for cooler evenings. Lake outings, cycling, guided walks and massage treatments can add variety around a trekking day. We would consider Chameleon Hill for travellers who appreciate colourful design and time by the lake.
