Chimpanzee Capital Safari Lodge offers a cottage stay in Bigodi, on the edge of the Kibale forest landscape. Locally inspired architecture, timber furniture and garden-facing outdoor spaces give it an informal character. The lodge has its own restaurant and bar, making it a practical place to return after a morning of primate tracking or a walk around the surrounding countryside.
Bed arrangements are unusually well described: doubles measure five by seven feet, while the family and triple arrangements combine two double beds with a single. Bathrooms include hot and cold showers; bathtubs are specifically described in the family and triple entries.
The kitchen offers Ugandan, western and Mediterranean dishes. Chimpanzee permits can be arranged in advance, and the operator also advertises crater-lake and waterfall outings. We would consider this lodge for couples, friends or families who want conventional cottage accommodation near Bigodi.
