A PLACE IN YOUR JOURNEY

A DIFFERENT OUTLOOK.
A PLACE TO PAUSE.

Wilderness Bisate Lodge is a six-villa property in a forested volcanic bowl near Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park. Rounded thatched forms draw on Rwandan royal architecture, with the surrounding landscape and reforestation project giving the stay a strong sense of place. It is the original Bisate Lodge, distinct from the newer four-villa Bisate Reserve.

The Forest Villas have fireplaces, sitting areas, en-suite bathrooms and private decks. Their hillside positions are part of the appeal but also mean steps and changes in level.

The lodge combines a restaurant and wine cellar with a library, nursery and wellness facilities. Dining uses produce from the lodge’s garden and surrounding communities; any particular dietary request should be arranged in advance.

For Nobu, Bisate suits travellers interested in gorilla trekking, distinctive design and time in the forest landscape.
