Ubuntu Migration Camp is a mobile camp whose setting changes with its operating season. Asilia places it in the northern Serengeti’s Lamai Wedge from June to mid-November and in the southern Kusini area from mid-December to mid-March. That movement is central to planning a stay: the correct arrival airstrip and drive route depend on the booked dates.
Ten tents include a family option for four. The accommodation keeps a traditional mobile-safari character, with en-suite bucket showers, flushing toilets and solar-supported charging rather than the full facilities of a permanent lodge. Shared lounge and dining tents provide places to gather between game drives, and Wi-Fi and laundry are listed among the practical comforts.
Children are welcomed from five years old, with separate restrictions for any walking activity. Ubuntu is best considered by travellers who value a close-to-camp safari atmosphere and are comfortable shaping their itinerary around seasonal moves and closures. The migration follows natural conditions, so the camp’s location does not guarantee a particular wildlife sighting.
