The stay

Tarangire Sopa offers seventy-five rooms, a pool and established lodge facilities inside the national park.

Tarangire Sopa Lodge is a larger, conventional safari lodge within the national park. Its circular guest buildings and high conical roofs sit among woodland and rocky outcrops, with sheltered verandas offering places to watch the surroundings between drives. The property remains part of Sopa’s current portfolio, unlike the group’s former Serengeti and Ngorongoro lodges.

Each has a private entrance lounge, a minibar, two queen beds with mosquito nets and an en-suite bathroom. Four adapted rooms and four interconnecting rooms are identified, providing useful options for families and travellers with mobility requirements.

The swimming pool, restaurant, bar and lounges give the lodge a broad set of communal spaces. A conference facility also makes it relevant to small incentive or group itineraries. Wi-Fi is advertised in public areas, with special diets and additional safari experiences available by arrangement.

For Nobu, Tarangire Sopa suits travellers who prefer solid-walled rooms and established lodge facilities. The grounds are unfenced, so the operator requires escorts for journeys between rooms and public areas at night.
