The stay

Swala combines twelve fan-cooled tents, private decks, outdoor showers and a baobab-shaded pool inside Tarangire. Children aged six and over are welcome, with April–May closure and no wheelchair access stated.

Swala Camp sits beneath acacia trees in Tarangire National Park, with a waterhole and open savannah close to its raised communal decks. The scale is intimate: twelve guest tents, a lounge and dining area, and a swimming pool shaded by an old baobab. Time in camp can be as absorbing as time on a drive, although wildlife appearances are never guaranteed.

Indoor bathrooms are complemented by outdoor showers.

Meals, drinks including premium brands, game-viewing activities, Kuro airstrip transfers and laundry are included in the operator’s advertised stay concept.

For Nobu, Swala suits couples and families with older children seeking a small camp with a pool and a clear safari focus. Children must be at least six, and those under fifteen share with an adult. The camp closes in April and May. Its unfenced setting, raised structures and lack of wheelchair access should be considered when matching guests and planning movement around camp.
