Sora Lodge Lalibela brings several different accommodation styles together on a hillside outside the town’s busiest streets. The operator describes Standard rooms in a three-storey building, traditional round Tukul rooms, stone-built Rock-hewn rooms and compact Tree Houses. Verandas and views are a common thread, but the layouts offer quite different practical experiences.
The Tree Houses place a queen-bed sleeping area above a separate lower-level bathroom, so stairs are integral to the stay. Selected Rock-hewn rooms have a bath or shower set against stone, while the Family category specifies a queen bed and two singles in separate spaces.
The lodge has a restaurant, cocktail bar, gardens and bookable massage or spa services. Breakfast is included in the inspected room descriptions, with laundry, transfers and guided visits available by arrangement.
