Simien Lodge is a mountain property inside Simien Mountains National Park, beyond the park’s Sawre Gate. Its accommodation is arranged in round, thatched tukuls, with sheltered balconies and views across the highland setting.
Each main tukul is divided into two independent rooms with their own bathrooms. The operator lists twenty-four twin rooms and two double rooms, while Family Rooms combine a lounge containing two single beds with a separate double bedroom.
Solar underfloor heating is intended to take the chill off rather than provide full central heating. Showers have solar hot water with electrical backup, and the restaurant and bar offer indoor space around a fireplace.
