THE NOBU VIEW
Serengeti Simba overlooks the western plains from a rocky hill in Ikona, outside Fort Ikoma Gate. Tented rondavels, Stone House family rooms and an infinity pool suit a lodge-style safari. Children must be over six; steep paths, limited room power and park-access costs need planning.
Serengeti Simba Lodge stands on a kopje above the western plains, with communal spaces arranged around the rock and views stretching towards the Grumeti River.
The current collection has twenty-one rooms: fifteen tented rondavels and six rooms in the Stone House. The rondavels combine canvas, stone and thatch with private decks, baths and outdoor stone showers.
An infinity pool, viewing deck and campfire provide places to pause between excursions. Dining combines continental and local dishes, with picnic breakfasts or packed lunches for early starts. Traditional Ikoma dance performances and village visits offer additional experiences without replacing the wildlife focus.
For Nobu, Simba suits guests who value outlook and a lodge atmosphere over immediate inside-park access. Children over six are welcomed, while younger teenagers must share with an adult. Stairs, steep paths and a rough final approach make mobility needs a serious selection consideration.
