A PLACE IN YOUR JOURNEY
Salt Lick Safari Lodge is distinguished by circular rooms raised above the ground and linked by elevated walkways. The waterhole beneath and around the lodge gives guests a reason to stay still between drives, while the viewing tunnel offers a lower perspective on visiting wildlife. This is a sanctuary setting in the wider Tsavo landscape, rather than accommodation inside Tsavo West National Park.
The operator lists ninety-six rooms, divided between Waterhole View and Park View categories. Double, twin and selected triple layouts are available, with private shower rooms, fans and mosquito nets. All accommodation is reached by stairs and there are no interconnecting rooms, so mobility needs and family allocations require care.
Swimming and spa services are at the separate Taita Hills Safari Resort & Spa, not at Salt Lick itself.
For Nobu, the lodge suits travellers drawn to wildlife viewing from the property and its unusual architecture. Children under five are not accepted. The operator limits rooms to two adults, or two adults with one eligible child, despite the presence of a triple category.
