The stay
Rhino Watch is a Mweiga lodge base for visits to Solio, Ol Pejeta and the Aberdares, with tents, chalets, family units, a pool and spa. It sits outside Ol Pejeta.
Rhino Watch Safari Lodge is a garden-and-forest base in Mweiga, between Mount Kenya and the Aberdares. This makes it useful for an itinerary that explores several highland landscapes from one address.
Accommodation ranges from canvas tents and thatched chalets to family units and a newer exclusive wing. The Family Tent has two bedrooms but a bathroom shared within the unit, while Paradise Flycatcher offers sleeping space for six and an outside kitchen with a self-catering option. These are materially different family arrangements.
The lodge also advertises an infinity pool, a children’s pool, a playground and the Weaver Bird spa.
For Nobu, this suits families and independent safari travellers who value a lodge base near several reserves.
