The stay
Olmara, formerly Ehlane Plains, offers eight tented suites in eastern Serengeti, including three Stargazer suites. Choose Full Board, shared-drive Game Package or Adventure Package carefully.
Olmara Camp is a small eastern Serengeti retreat among acacias overlooking the Ngare Nanyuki valley. Previously known as Ehlane Plains Camp, it now sits within Entara’s collection. Its setting is particularly relevant for travellers interested in the area’s big cats, while sightings remain dependent on natural conditions rather than a promise attached to the stay.
The current camp has eight tented suites: five regular and three Stargazer suites. King beds, sitting areas, writing desks and rugs over wooden floors soften the canvas interiors. Each suite has a private shower and flushing toilet.
Package selection changes the stay substantially. Full Board covers accommodation, meals and specified house drinks. Game Package adds shared drives, airstrip transfers and laundry; Adventure Package includes a private guide and vehicle, with a broader pre-arranged activity programme. Walking and fly camping have age, safety and availability conditions.
For Nobu, Olmara suits couples, photographers and families wanting an intimate camp away from the main Seronera concentration.
