The stay

Oliver’s Camp offers a Tarangire base near Silale Swamp, with fifteen tents across two wings, decks and indoor and outdoor showers. A pool, cocktail bar and dining complement safari outings.

Oliver’s Camp sits in southeastern Tarangire National Park, near the Silale Swamp and away from the busier entrance area. Its two wings offer a sense of separation within one established Asilia camp, with shared spaces looking across the surrounding floodplain landscape. It is a place to allow time for the park rather than plan only a brief overnight stop.

The current operator describes fifteen tents, arranged in wings of ten and five, including two family tents and a honeymoon tent. Each has an ensuite bathroom, indoor and outdoor showers and a private deck. A cocktail bar and pool sit between the wings, while each wing has its own lounge and dining space. Solar power with generator backup, Wi-Fi and laundry are advertised.

Game drives, night drives and walking safaris are part of the offering, although walking depends on weather, vegetation and a safety assessment. Its minimum age is twelve, separate from the camp’s stated five-and-older family policy.
