Olakira follows the migration between northern Serengeti and Ndutu, with mesh-enclosed stargazing tents, en-suite showers and family options for children aged five or older. Match travel dates to its seasonal location and closures.
Olakira moves between two distinct parts of the migration landscape, pairing the northern Serengeti season with the southern plains around Ndutu. The important booking decision is therefore not simply the camp name, but its position on the chosen dates. It operates in the north from June to October and in the south from December to March, closing during the intervening moves.
The tent design is a particular draw. Mesh-enclosed sleeping areas bring the night sky into view while maintaining an enclosed space, and private decks look onto the surrounding landscape. En-suite bathrooms have flushing toilets and solar-heated showers.
