The stay
ol Donyo Lodge pairs private-pool suites and rooftop star beds with a Chyulu Hills setting on Mbirikani Ranch. Hides, riding, walks, a spa and gym broaden the safari experience.
ol Donyo Lodge sits on a hillside in the Chyulu Hills, looking across the plains of Mbirikani Ranch towards Kilimanjaro. This is a private-ranch stay between the Tsavo and Amboseli regions, with a broad choice of activities and time to enjoy the lodge itself. It belongs to Great Plains Conservation and the Relais & Châteaux collection.
Eight Deluxe Suites and one two-bedroom Sambu Suite make up the current accommodation. Private verandas, plunge pools, indoor sitting areas and bathrooms with a bath and indoor and outdoor showers create generous spaces for unhurried afternoons.
The waterhole is watched from two hides, including a sunken hide with refreshments close at hand. A spa and gym complement game drives, guided walks and horseback outings. Riding is intended for intermediate and experienced riders.
