Offbeat Mara Camp is a seven-tent base in Mara North Conservancy, with five double or twin tents and two family arrangements. The appeal is a small, sociable camp built around guiding, shared meals and time in the mess tent rather than a resort-style programme. Verandas, ensuite hot showers and WiFi add practical comforts without changing the canvas character.
The camp is partway through a refurbishment. The main lounge and forest deck, two standard tents and Family Suite One have been refreshed; remaining accommodation is planned for completion by the end of June 2027. The updated family suite has two ensuite bedrooms around a sitting area, while the newer standard layouts add a dressing area and convertible daybed.
Nobu would consider Offbeat Mara for travellers who enjoy a shared safari rhythm and families who secure a specific allocation. The public package includes meals, most drinks, shared drives and several camp activities, with private vehicles included for qualifying groups and family suites under the stated rules.
