The stay
A northern Serengeti lodge among kopjes, with an infinity pool, glass-fronted tented suites and private decks. Two Mara Suites add plunge pools and flexible family space. Children are welcome, but younger guests face activity restrictions.
Nimali Mara is set among kopjes in the far northern Serengeti, where rock formations and open grasslands shape the lodge’s outlook. Its main infinity pool sits within the natural boulders, while the lounge and dining spaces look towards the surrounding plains.
The accommodation comprises eight standard tented suites and two Mara Suites, also described as honeymoon suites. Glass fronts open the rooms visually to the landscape, with private decks, indoor showers and copper bathtubs adding comfort after a game drive. Only the Mara Suites have private plunge pools. Fans are provided rather than air-conditioning.
The location suits travellers exploring the northern Serengeti, with drives, sundowners, bush dinners and optional balloon flights among the possible experiences. Families of all ages are welcomed, although children under six normally cannot join drives in open vehicles. Match the guiding, vehicle and room arrangements to the party rather than assuming every activity is suitable for every guest.
