The stay
Maweninga Camp sits on a rocky rise in Tarangire, with tent terraces opening towards the savanna. Sixteen tents, a restaurant, bar and evening campfire create a straightforward safari base.
Maweninga Camp is positioned on a rocky promontory in Tarangire National Park, where private tent terraces look across savanna, baobabs and distant hills. The elevated setting is the defining feature: guests return from their safari to a landscape that remains visible from their accommodation and the shared outdoor areas.
Interiors are simply furnished with wooden pieces and ensuite shower rooms. Solar electricity and hot water are advertised, alongside Wi-Fi in communal areas.
A restaurant, bar and evening campfire provide the social centre of the stay. The rocky setting also makes an individual access assessment important for anyone with mobility requirements.
