MASAI MARA SOPA LODGE

THE NOBU VIEW

The stay

Masai Mara Sopa Lodge offers cottage-style rooms, suites, fireplaces, several bars and an outdoor pool just outside the reserve. It suits families and groups seeking established lodge facilities.

Gardens, thatched communal buildings and an outdoor swimming pool give it an established lodge character. Game drives still require the appropriate entry arrangement through Oloolaimutia or Sekenani Gate.

The operator describes fifty guest cottages, each containing two rooms. Six cottages contain larger suites, and a honeymoon suite is described separately; the relationship of that final unit to the overall room total is unclear.

A circular lounge and dining room are organised around fireplaces, with outdoor seating for meals and afternoon tea. Multiple bars include poolside and deck settings. A children’s menu, adjoining-room options, special diets and conference facilities are advertised, making the lodge a possible choice for families and organised groups.

For Nobu, Sopa suits guests who prefer solid-built accommodation and a broad communal facility offering over a small canvas camp.
