The stay
Maji Moto offers Maasai manyattas, an ensuite cottage and camping at the base of the Loita Hills. Most options use shared washrooms with hot mineral-water showers, while cultural activities shape the stay.
Maji Moto Maasai Cultural Camp offers a different rhythm from a conventional safari lodge. Set at the base of the Loita Hills, the camp is described by its operator as a forty-five-minute drive from the Masai Mara reserve. Time here centres on the surrounding landscape, Maasai-hosted cultural activities and a choice of simple accommodation styles.
These accommodations use shared flush toilets and hot mineral-water showers. The Luxury Cottage instead has an ensuite bathroom, an open-air bathtub and a terrace. Furnished camping tents and self-camping options offer more basic alternatives, while an overnight Olpul bush experience uses leaf beds and sleeping bags rather than standard hotel rooms.
Self-camping has both catered and self-catered choices, and optional activities cost extra.
