The stay
Lamai’s open-fronted rooms sit among northern Serengeti boulders, with sweeping views, a pool and informal dining. The main lodge welcomes children from eight; Lamai Private has separate exclusive-use terms.
Lamai sits among the boulders of Kogakuria Kopje, with open-fronted rooms and verandas looking across the northern Serengeti. Its raised position is as important as the accommodation: the lodge offers broad views and a quieter place to return to after time on the plains or by the river. Wildlife movements remain seasonal and unpredictable.
The main lodge has eight rooms, comprising six regular rooms and two family arrangements. The adjacent Lamai Private is a separate exclusive-use product with four rooms and its own shared spaces and pool.
Main-lodge facilities include a lounge, bar, dining area and swimming pool.
For Nobu, Lamai is a compelling choice for couples and families who want a lodge setting with a strong sense of landscape. The main lodge welcomes children from eight; Lamai Private from five. It normally opens from June into mid-March.
