The stay
Kyaninga Lodge overlooks its namesake crater lake, with nine raised cottages reached by wooden walkways. Private decks, a restaurant, pool and wellness spaces frame the stay.
Kyaninga Lodge overlooks Lake Kyaninga near Fort Portal, with the Rwenzori Mountains forming part of its wider landscape. Its operator lists nine detached cottages raised on platforms and linked to the main building by wooden walkways. Dining uses produce from the kitchen garden and nearby markets, while pool terraces and a wellness centre provide places to spend time between excursions.
Each cottage has a private deck and an en-suite bathroom with a freestanding bath and separate glass-walled shower. Raised paths, steps and the route down to the pool should be discussed for individual access needs. The lodge’s charitable work does not itself establish accessible room specifications.
