The stay
Kuro is a Tarangire bush camp with six safari rooms, a two-bedroom family unit and an Elephant Treehouse. Indoor showers and outdoor bucket showers preserve its atmosphere.
Kuro is a small Nomad bush camp in Tarangire’s riverside woodland, where canvas, thatch and open-sided living spaces keep the surroundings close. Its appeal is the traditional camp atmosphere and time spent exploring on foot or by vehicle, rather than a long list of resort facilities. The Elephant Treehouse provides another quiet place to watch the landscape.
Each has an en-suite bathroom, an indoor shower, an outdoor bucket shower and a private veranda. The family rooms are joined by a shared living space.
Meals are served around the open communal dining and lounge area, with bush dining possible when conditions allow. The representative describes meals, local drinks, laundry and scheduled Kuro airstrip transfers within the stay concept.
For Nobu, Kuro suits couples and families with older children who enjoy an immersive, lightly built camp. The minimum guest age is eight, with walking restricted to older children. It normally operates from June to mid-March.
