Kibo Safari Camp is a substantial tented base just outside Amboseli’s Kimana Gate. Its location is useful for travellers planning days inside the national park while returning to shared facilities and a full-service camp between outings. The operator’s main camp advertises 110 self-contained tents, with the separate Kibo Private Wing requiring its own booking arrangements.

Single, double, triple and family tent configurations accommodate different travelling parties. Beds are locally made from bush logs, and the tents include private shower bathrooms and flush toilets.

A swimming pool, lounge and bar, spa services and an open-terraced restaurant provide ways to spend the quieter part of the day. The restaurant describes produce from the camp’s own farm and can discuss special meal requirements in advance. We would consider Kibo for families, friends and safari groups who prefer a larger camp with organised shared facilities.
