Kibale Forest Camp offers a canvas-based stay beneath trees near the forest's chimpanzee-tracking area. Its emphasis is on camp life: a private place to sit, the sounds of the canopy and a shared restaurant overlooking trees and papyrus wetland. Trails through the grounds add an easy way to spend time outdoors between organised excursions.
There are two clearly different accommodation levels. Luxury Safari Tents stand on raised platforms under thatch and have their own hot-water bathroom and veranda. Explorer's Tents provide proper beds and a small terrace but use a shared bathroom block reached on foot. Both are offered in double or twin arrangements.
We would consider the camp for travellers who enjoy tented surroundings and want to choose between private and shared facilities.
