The stay
Kena Beach Hotel combines Matemwe accommodation with a pool, spa, games room and dive centre. Four room categories include interconnecting family rooms and a private-Jacuzzi option.
Kena Beach Hotel is a family-oriented Matemwe base with gardens, a pool and a range of activities close to the shore. Its atmosphere is deliberately informal: the hotel encourages guests to switch off, with no televisions in the rooms, while retaining Wi-Fi for those who need it. Reef walks, games and the on-site dive centre give families options beyond a sun lounger.
Accommodation falls into four categories. Standard and Deluxe rooms are designed for two adults and one child, with Deluxe rooms adding an outdoor shower. The private-Jacuzzi category is limited to two guests.
The Bridge Restaurant serves international and African dishes, while Mambo and Mnemba bars provide drinks around the hotel. Maua Spa, a games room and Scubafish Dive Centre broaden the facilities.
For Nobu, Kena is particularly useful for families who want clear room configurations and a relaxed beach setting. Keep it distinct from the separate Kena Beach Villas product.
