Ithumba Camp is the original-style bush camp at the base of Ithumba Mountain in northern Tsavo East. It is distinct from Ithumba Hill and Ithumba Private, which occupy different settings within the same broader Sheldrick collection.
Each tent has a private bathroom with an open-sky shower. An open-plan lounge and dining area create the main gathering space, while a swimming pool provides downtime between outings. The current pool description should take precedence over older accounts that describe a more basic configuration.
The camp is fully staffed, including a chef who prepares meals from ingredients supplied by the guests. Food, drinks and a suitable vehicle need advance planning unless separately arranged through an operator.
