THE NOBU VIEW
The stay
Eight hillside cottages beside the Kibale rainforest, with private terraces, a saltwater pool and garden-influenced dining. Isunga suits travellers who value views and a small lodge setting.
Isunga Lodge is a small hillside property beside the Kibale rainforest, with eight cottages spread through its grounds. Private terraces look towards the forest, while a saltwater swimming pool and a shared restaurant and lounge offer places to pause between outings. The setting feels suited to travellers who enjoy a garden and landscape outlook as much as the organised excursion itself.
Cottages have mosquito nets, charging points, flushing toilets and hot showers. Other bookings are advertised as single, double or twin, and triple arrangements; the exact beds and maximum party should be agreed with the lodge.
Meals use local market ingredients and produce from the garden. The kitchen normally serves a two-course lunch and three-course dinner, with breakfast dishes cooked to order and dietary requests considered in advance. We would consider Isunga for couples, friends and families who want a quieter hillside base. The cottages require walking up and down slopes, which may not suit every mobility need.
