THE NOBU VIEW
The stay
Fourteen suites near Rhino Ridge combine inside-reserve safari access with a pool, spa, observatory and photography lounge. Ilora offers room-and-board, shared-safari and themed journey plans.
Ilora Retreats is a fourteen-suite camp in the central Olkiombo area near Rhino Ridge, inside the national reserve. The suites are set among bush, with private verandas, baths and indoor showers, while shared spaces add unusually varied ways to spend time off the safari vehicle. A pool, fitness pavilion and spa sit alongside a sky deck, observatory and open-air cinema.
Photography is a particular thread here. Families have a Junior Rangers programme and evening childminding, although individual activities still need to suit the children’s ages. A star-bed night is an optional experience dependent on weather and conditions.
Nobu would consider Ilora for guests who want camp life to be a meaningful part of the itinerary. The important booking choice is the plan: Full Stay covers accommodation and meals, Safari Stay adds shared drives and selected services, while named journeys can include private vehicles or flights.
