The stay
On the Mara River beside Musiara Marsh, Governors’ Camp offers nineteen luxury tents and five family tents inside the reserve.
Governors’ Camp occupies a long-established position on the Mara River beside Musiara Marsh, inside the national reserve. Its appeal is the setting and the safari rhythm: canvas tents, a river-facing bar deck and access to surrounding grasslands without a daily transfer through an external gate. The camp is unfenced, so wildlife and staff guidance are part of everyday life.
Luxury tents face the river, while the family accommodation looks towards the plains. Each has an ensuite bathroom and private veranda.
A spa tent adds an optional quieter hour between outings. Nobu would consider Governors’ for travellers who prioritise an inside-reserve location and a traditional camp atmosphere.
