THE NOBU VIEW
Gnu Mara River Camp operates in Kogatende from June to mid-November, with ten en-suite tents and full-board dining. River crossing points require a drive, and sightings remain unpredictable.
Gnu Mara River Camp is the northern season of Mawe’s mobile migration camp, operating in Kogatende from the first of June to the fifteenth of November. Its ten tents face the plains, with the principal river crossing points reached by a drive of roughly forty to forty-five minutes. The camp’s name should not be read as a promise that crossings can be watched from the room.
Six double or twin tents accommodate two guests each, while two triples provide space for three. Private decks, mosquito nets, hot showers and solar-powered charging provide the essentials of a canvas stay. A staff escort is available after dark in the unfenced setting.
The main tent brings together dining, a bar and lounge space with Wi-Fi. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in the full-board arrangement; bar drinks, activities and transfers are additional unless explicitly packaged. Packed meals allow guides to plan longer days near the river.
For Nobu, Gnu Mara suits couples, photographers and families whose dates fit the northern season. Allow enough time for wildlife rather than promise a particular crossing.
