A twelve-room manor-house stay in Nairobi with a resident giraffe herd and individually styled rooms. Choose the building and room carefully: booking eligibility, family layouts and window access differ.

Giraffe Manor combines a small manor-house stay with the unusual experience of sharing its grounds with a resident giraffe herd. The Historic Manor and adjoining Garden Manor each have six individually named rooms, with their own character, views and layouts. The experience is best planned around the particular room and booking rules rather than a generic hotel category.

Ten Superior Rooms sit alongside two larger family suites, Karen Blixen and Finch Hatton. Some rooms allow giraffes to approach a window or balcony, while others do not offer that access.

Manor guests can use facilities at the separate neighbouring Retreat during their permitted stay hours, including its pool and wellness spaces. We would consider this for travellers who want a distinctive Nairobi stay and can plan ahead. Historic Manor generally requires at least two nights at another collection bush property, with a short-notice exception. Specific breakfast tables and wildlife interactions cannot be promised in advance.
