The stay
Wooden cottages on Ngorongoro’s northwestern rim pair crater views with indoor heating and private guiding. Entamanu’s main camp has standard and two-bedroom family cottages, welcoming children from eight.
Entamanu occupies a remote northwestern section of the Ngorongoro Crater rim, with views that reach into the caldera and back towards the Serengeti plains. Its elevated wooden cottages are designed as warm refuges in an exposed highland setting. Indoor heating, layered interiors and a shared lounge around the fire are as important to the experience as the panorama outside.
The main camp has seven standard cottages and three two-bedroom family cottages. Each family unit contains two full-size ensuite bedrooms, a useful arrangement for parents with older children or friends travelling together. Private verandas, hot showers and in-room WiFi support time in camp. There is no swimming pool, and the room checklist specifies showers rather than baths.
Nobu would consider Entamanu for guests who want a quieter rim setting and private guiding within a broader safari. The main camp welcomes children from eight, while guided walks start at twelve.
