THE NOBU VIEW
The stay
Elerai Camp, formerly Satao Elerai, has twelve tents and five cottage rooms on a private conservation area outside Amboseli. Kilimanjaro views, a pool and waterhole-side shared spaces frame the stay.
Elerai Camp stands on a private conservation area south-east of Amboseli National Park, with views towards Kilimanjaro and the plains below. The current operator uses the shorter Elerai name. Its setting outside the park allows conservancy activities to complement visits to Amboseli.
The tents have raised cedar floors, en-suite showers and verandas with day beds. The cottages use stone and acacia wood, with sliding doors opening onto balconies and bathrooms that include a bath and shower.
A lounge, infinity pool and dining terrace face the surrounding landscape. The camp’s waterhole can be watched from its shared spaces, while meals are prepared with local produce and served à la carte.
For Nobu, Elerai suits couples and families seeking a small camp with both tented and solid-walled accommodation.
