THE NOBU VIEW
The stay
A community-managed cottage lodge above Buhoma, with terraces, forest outlooks and dining. Haven offers twin or double cottages plus a family option.
Haven Lodge offers a hillside view of the Buhoma landscape from a small collection of self-contained cottages. The property is managed on behalf of the Buhoma Mukono Community Development Association, giving it a community connection alongside its role as a base for forest visits. Terraces and shared lounge spaces provide places to slow down before or after a trekking day.
The operator advertises eight twin or double cottages and one family cottage. Dining draws on Western and African dishes, with locally sourced ingredients described by the lodge. WiFi, room service and transport arrangements are also marketed.
Nobu would consider Haven for travellers looking for cottage accommodation and a forest outlook without moving into a large hotel setting. The hillside approach makes room location and the number of steps useful questions for anyone with mobility concerns. Be precise about the name when booking: Haven and Buhoma Community Rest Camp share a community organisation, but they are distinct accommodation products.
