The stay
Mnemba’s open-air bandas and private beach lounges create an intimate island escape off Zanzibar’s northeast coast. Meals, selected drinks, transfers and many marine experiences are included.
Mnemba Island offers a distinctly private chapter of a Zanzibar journey, with a small collection of open-air bandas set between coastal forest and the beach. The current accommodation has eleven Bandas for two guests and one Family Banda, each with its own beach lounge. The architecture keeps guests close to the island’s sounds and breezes, so the open-air design is an essential part of choosing this stay.
Beach lounges include a daybed, sun loungers and an outdoor shower. Families are welcome within strict island-wide limits on younger children, making advance allocation especially important.
The all-inclusive programme combines meals, selected drinks, transfers and a broad selection of water-based experiences.
For Nobu, Mnemba is a strong choice for travellers prioritising privacy, marine experiences and an intimate island setting. The lodge closes annually from 8 April to 20 May.
