Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp lies in a private concession at the foot of the Oloololo Escarpment, beside the Saparingo River and close to the Maasai Mara reserve. Riverine vegetation and open outlooks give the room categories different moods, making the choice between Superior and Superior View worth more than a glance at the name.
The current camp has thirty-four tents, with family arrangements formed from connected accommodation rather than simply added to that total. Standard categories have ensuite showers, fans and verandas.
A swimming pool, boma and interactive kitchen give the shared spaces a sociable feel. Nobu would consider Kichwa Tembo for travellers who like tented accommodation with a larger camp’s facilities. It is especially important to match children to the permitted activities: the ability to stay in camp does not automatically allow every drive or walk.
