Basecamp Wilderness is a tented retreat around the rim of Saddle Valley in Mara Naboisho Conservancy. Its setting gives the stay a conservancy focus, with views across the surrounding landscape and a camp layout intended to leave room between guests. The property is part of Saruni Basecamp and is distinct from its Talek River camps.
Guest Tents offer king or twin beds, private seating space and a separate bathroom unit.
A lounge, dining tent and shared fireplace provide the social centre of camp. Day and night drives are advertised in the conservancy, while guided walking safaris are limited to adults aged eighteen and over. We would consider Wilderness for couples, friends or families looking for a canvas stay with a quieter itinerary outside the national reserve’s main routes.
